DREAM BIG PARADE

Step Show • Music & Culture Festival • Gospel Extravaganza
Free Band Showcase • Parade • Big Family Fun Day

Proudly Brought To You By:

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's birthday is January 15th. Annually, the federal MLK, Jr. holiday is observed on the 3rd Monday of January each year. Advantage Village Academy (AVA) began and hosted St. Petersburg's 1st Inaugural MLK, Jr. Family Fun Day in an effort to revitalize the holiday. Since it was a huge success, in 2017 the City asked AVA to reinvent the MLK, Jr. Family Fun Day and MLK, Jr. Parade. St. Pete’s MLK DREAM BIG CELEBRATION was born.

The MLK DREAM BIG CELEBRATION will happen once again with events occurring from Friday, January 17th with MLK Weekend Step Show, Saturday January 18th with the MLK Music and Culture Festival, culminating on Monday, January 20th with the 34th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Dream Big Parade starting at 11AM and ending with the MLK Dream Big Family Fun Day at Tropicana Field from 2PM to 8PM. The Parade will travel along 1st Avenue South from 2nd Street South and end across the street from Tropicana Field on 16th Street South.
