MLK Treasure Hunt

Throughout the City of
St Petersburg

A wonderful opportunity for youth groups to engage in a meaningful and educational experience, celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Team Composition: Each youth group should consist of up to ten members.
Transportation Recommendation: We recommend utilizing a 10-passenger van for each team to navigate the hunt efficiently.

This event is a fun and interactive way to explore African American history and an excellent platform for youth to connect with the community and learn about the significant contributions of African Americans to our society.

Travels East to West on
1st Avenue South

Join us in celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with the MLK Dream Big Parade.

This vibrant and inspiring parade will travel through the heart of Downtown St. Petersburg on 1st Avenue South, culminating at Tropicana Field.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to honor the achievements of Dr. King and to embrace the diversity and unity of our community. Witness a spectacular array of floats representing various organizations, communities, and themes that embody the spirit of Dr. King’s vision. Enjoy the rhythmic beats and lively performances of marching bands from visiting local schools and colleges, bringing energy and music to the streets.

Attorney James Flynn will serve as the Grand Marshall for the 2024 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade. For the past seven years, Flynn has supported the MLK Dream Big Parade and Festivities.

Accessibility: The parade route is accessible for people with disabilities, and special viewing areas will be designated.
