Advantage Village Academy (AVA) will host St. Pete’s 2025 MLK Dream Big Showcase. The parade will begin at 11:00 A.M. and end at 2:00 P.M. You may choose to be a vendor along the parade route in the Tropicana Field parking lot 6B or all day in or near the Tropicana Field along 1st Avenue South.

Parking is FREE in Tropicana’s Lots 5 & 9

* parking lot 5 is off of 1st Ave S & lot 9 is off of 4th Ave S

WATER & ELECTRICITY:

Water and Electricity are NOT provided. Vendors are responsible for their own generators, extension cords, tables, and tents.

EXTENSION CORDS:

(a) Must be a minimum of 3-wire, heavy-duty, and rated for the load intended. (b) Power supply cords must be in good condition (no splices or bare wires.). (c) Cannot pose a tripping hazard.

TABLES:

(a) As required by the Americans with Disabilities Act, all service tabletops should be between 28-34 inches above ground accessible to people with disabilities.

TENTS:

(a) Multiple tents permitted not to exceed 120 square feet each. (b) Separate tents for cooking and serving/dining.

ALL Vendors are expected to maintain good integrity, practice safe methods of food or merchandise handling and conduct their affairs honestly. This is a FAMILY EVENT with a ZERO ALCOHOL and DRUG TOLERANCE.

FOOD VENDOR REQUIREMENTS:
  • Food License or Certification must be visible the entire event. (If you do not have this, Greenhouse will provide the necessary training, vendor guidelines, and certification for temporary food service vendors)
  • Obtain food from approved sources
  • Wash hands thoroughly before and after handling food. No bare hand contact with ready to eat foods
  • All vendors serving prepared foods shall provide an adequate supply of potable water for cleaning and employee hand washing
  • Wiping cloths must be stored in an approved sanitary solution
  • Keep hot foods at or above 140◦ F and cold foods at or below 41◦ F
  • Thaw foods properly
  • Keep foods covered and protected to prevent flying insects landing on food, contamination or public health hazard
  • Food and propane tanks must be stored off the ground (Electric, gas, or charcoal grills permitted: (a) Propane burners should be a listed manufacturer’s device with either a U.S or A.G.A. label (b) Gas cylinders must be firmly secured (c) Metal coal collection containers are required for charcoal grills (d) No smoking allowed in the area of flammable gas cylinders)
  • Condiments shall be served in single-serving packets, or self-closing containers to protect them from contamination
  • Premises shall be kept clean and free of any litter and garbage
  • Dispose of solid and liquid waste properly and routinely
  • Use proper fire extinguishers {Fire extinguisher requirements: (a) Minimal of U.L. rate 2A10BC fire extinguisher inspected and tagged by a licensed fire extinguisher dealer. (b) A U.S. rated 40 BC fire extinguisher inspected and tagged by a licensed fire extinguisher dealer is required for deep fat fryers}
ANY UNCORRECTED VIOLATIONS OR NON-COMPLIANCE WILL RESULT IN BOOTH CLOSURE  (ALCOHOL AND DRUG VIOLATIONS WILL RESULT IN POLICE-ASSISTED EVENT REMOVAL). 

St. Pete’s MLK Parade Vendors

ALL VENDORS MUST:

  1. Register (hand deliver or mail application to 833 22nd St South St. Petersburg, FL 33712)
  2. Pay non-refundable fee payable to AVA, Inc. 
  3. Attend Training Class (individual, group, or organization representative must be present for 1 hour)

SETUP/ BREAKDOWN TIMES: (Vendors will not be allowed to set up or breakdown outside of scheduled times)

  1. Parade setup is 7:00 A.M. – 10:30 A.M. and breakdown is 2:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. 
  2. All day vendor setup is 7:00 A.M. – 10:30 A.M and breakdown is 6:30 P.M. – 8:00 P.M.
